RE/MAX Quality Service In the News...

Not exactly how we want to have made the headlines this week, but it was certainly an experience! Just after our office meeting on Wednesday morning of May 19th around 10 am, several other agents along with myself were on the second floor at our office at the copy machine. All of a sudden we heard the most horrible crash and the sounds of breaking glass and rushed to the stairs. We were greeted with the awful smell of burning rubber and when we reached the bottom we noticed a car in our lobby! It had just crashed through the front windows and was backing out. The second thing we noticed was the mangled desk where the secretaries usually sat and the debris and machinery scattered about. We yelled for them and thankfully they were not physically harmed- but were very shaken up!

The driver was still trying to drive away as agents and 2 of the owners ran out to detain the young man while another called the police. He was clearly intoxicated and hauled off in a police car when the officers arrived. The vehicle was removed and clean up began.

When the story hit the newspaper, the forum lit up with some sympathetic writers and one comic who wrote 'he must have been in a hurry to buy a house'. When all is said and done, whatever the take on the story, I am very happy that no one was injured. I know that we will all be a little scared that it may happen again-- no matter where you are, things like this can happen. I'm glad that we can think back on that day and be greatful that it wasn't worse and we can go on 'business as usual'.
